Meet the giant of the Italian olive world. 🫒
Straight from Puglia, Bella di Cerignola olives are famous for one thing before you even taste them: their size! These are seriously big olives — wonderfully plump, meaty and made for a proper bite. Grown around the town of Cerignola in northern Puglia, they are prized for their firm, almost crunchy flesh and their beautifully mild, buttery flavour.
If you usually find olives a little too bitter or briny, these might just change your mind. They are delicate, slightly fruity and wonderfully satisfying, with plenty of flesh around the stone. Perfect for an aperitivo, they look spectacular piled onto an antipasti board alongside cheeses, cured meats and a good glass of something Italian. Or simply put out a big bowl and let everyone help themselves!
We’ve traditionally supplied our Cerignola olives mainly to restaurants, which is why they come in properly generous sizes: a 1,900g drained-weight jar or a 2,500g tin. But after so many requests, we’ve finally put them on the site for you to enjoy at home too. Because really, who says restaurants should have all the fun?
Storage: Once opened, keep the olives covered in their brine, close the container securely and refrigerate. Always use clean utensils when serving and keep the olives submerged in the brine to help maintain their quality.
